Caseville County Park

While camping at Stafford County Park, we traveled all around the thumb of Michigan, including a stop in Caseville. We went for a swim in the lake, walked the pier, and watched the sunset triumphantly over Karegnondi. The beach was fairly crowded, and kids were playing beach volleyball. When we walked out on the pier, there were Amish families fishing the rocks for smallmouth bass and couples holding hands and walking in the sunset light. The campground adjoined with the park was packed to the brim, an unusual site as Stafford County Park was at just a sliver of its maximum occupancy and, in my opinion, much prettier. The sunset over Lake Huron was something magical, and I am sure I will be back to see it again soon.
