Marquette Skate Plaza

Marquette Skate Plaza is one of just a few proper skate parks in the Upper Peninsula and probably the best of the bunch above the bridge. Located in the heart of Marquette next to the YMCA, the Marquette Skate Plaza was built in 2012 and has been upgraded a few times since. Although this park has far from everything, it is a great park where most skill levels can find something to entertain themselves at. The park features a number of different ledges, some rails, gaps, an a-frame rail, stairs, and more. While we were there, skaters aged 7 to 40+ were skating, and everyone was very friendly. This is definitely a must-stop if you are passing through Marquette with your board or scooter.
