Ontonagon Riverfront Park

Ontonagon Riverfront Park was right down the road from where we were camping, so we passed it often, coming to and from camp. It is located right next to the Ontonagon Marina and features sand volleyball, a boardwalk, and, I think, a playground. The old play equipment had been ripped out and was sitting in the corner, so I hope that it will either be reinstalled or replaced soon. The park was very pretty but not very maintained. The view of the town over the river was lovely, and I enjoyed getting another view of the Ontonagon Railroad Bridge. I was hoping for a nice view of the lighthouse as the road to access it is directly next to the park, but no luck on that front. With a little bit of love, I think that Ontonagon Riverfront Park could be a very nice park, but we enjoyed it all the same. This is a great place to ride your bike to, have a picnic at, or unwind on the shores of the Ontonagon River.
