Lake Medora Public Boat Launch

Lake Medora is a nearly 700-acre lake in the heart of the Keweenaw Peninsula that is accessible via the public boat launch off US-41. The lake is popular for recreation and fishing, offering healthy walleye and bass populations. Although there are small private roads surrounding most of the lake, there are only a handful of houses that are not located on the US-41 side of the lake. There is not much offered at the public boat launch, but the view is pretty incredible, and it’s a nice place to take a break or have a meal in the car. The lake has a ton of little islands and peninsulas jutting out from the shore, which makes for neat scenery, and I can imagine going out on the lake would be splendid!
